Guestbook

A note to thank you and your staff for the kind hospitality shown to us during our stay in India. It was so important to us during our first few days in Delhi to have somewhere to stay where it was both comfortable, affordable and we knew we could rely on the advice that we were given. Even before our trip, we were most impressed with the speed of the response you gave us over the net (most unusual in our experience of trying to find out information about hotels in India) and your very helpful advice on how to embark on our trip.
Your rooms are very pleasant, clean and most surprisingly (again in our limited experience) had plumbing and showers that actually functioned properly.
All in all it was a very nice way for us to both begin and end our vacation in India and we would hear tilyr ecommend your guest house to any travellers like ourselves who arelooking for genuinely helpful, clean, comfortable and well situatedplace to stay.

There are only two places to stay in Delhi – The Imperial and Yatri House. We’ve stayed in both and Yatri House wins hands down.
We arrived at Yatri House after spending 6 months in India and it was our last stop before we headed home to London. We couldn’t have been more delighted. The rooms and bathrooms are luxuriously big and impeccably clean. The staff so welcoming and efficient and as for the food – it was delicious and incredibly good value for money. Our last meal in India was a Yatri House thali, and its scrumptious taste carried us all the way back to London.
So thank you to Sanjay and all his hardworking team for making our final days in India genuinely memorable. We would be back in a shot!

Thank you Sanjay, we enjoyed the informal atmosphere, the relaxing comfort of meeting and mingling with the other residents and your family. Please thank your friendly and cheerful workforce, who gave us scrumptious pots of tea, accompanied by toast on the veranda by the bougainvillea and pond. It was a pleasure to meet your delightful young daughter, who entertained us all. Our clothes were beautifully cleaned and pressed and folded by your staff and ready the same day. ?They were always willing and eager to help with our every need.
The food we had in the evening was delicious and there was always someone on watch ready to open the door if we arrived back late at night. Our driver was friendly and courteous and always willing to adapt to our requirements. Thanks Sanjay for being there to have friendly discussions and offer helpful advice.
Yatri House was an ideal base in Delhi from which to explore the city.? We then travelled on to Agra, Jaipur, Khajaraho and several National Parks for birdwatching and to see the Indian architecture, culture and wildlife (including Tigers) of northern India. Our visits were superbly organised by Harsh Vardhan of Group and Independent Travel Service, Jaipur. We were met by helpful travel guides at every stage and altogether it was a well organised and wonderful holiday that will give us many happy memories to savour.? We will be back! ?

Thanks Sanjay for the help you gave us while we were in India for 3 weeks in Feb 2005! It was refreshing to have someone reliable to ask questions of and arrange travel. The 13 day tour around Rajasthan was very good and easy with a driver. I would happily recommend Yatri House to anyone and advise that you arrange one of their drivers to get you from the airport - it saves a lot of potential hastle from so called government travel agencies!

Thank you very much dear Sanjay for your kindness when you received us (feb.2005) at your house where we really felt like being at home. We also appreciated to have met a lot of interesting people at your place. We hope you will have an available room for us during our next trip to India, a country we like very much also thanks to you.

Yatri House is a very nice place to stay at when you go to Delhi. Although situated in the middle of Delhi it is a very quiet place. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff very helpful and Mr Puri can give you good advices for your itinerary. If I get the opportunity to return to Delhi I will stay at Yatri House again. If you are planning to go to Delhi choose Yatri House. I promise, you will not bee disappointed (and don't forget to try their cheese toast for breakfast or as a snack!)

We have stayed at the Yatri House during our last two trips to Delhi.
It is an excellent place to stay - a real gem.
When visiting Delhi, you need a quiet place to relax, away from the hassle and bustle of the busy city.
Believe me, this is exactly the kind of place you are searching for.
The owner (Mr Sanjay Puri) is a very methodical, efficient host.
He also suggested various ways I could improve my itinerary.
If you are looking for a good mid-range guest house with helpful,
friendly staff - then look no further.

I will definately stay here again the next time I visit Delhi.

The Yatri House is an excellent choice for staying in Delhi. The rooms are simple and clean but the help in arranging to see Delhi (and India for that matter) is priceless. Recommend the airport pickup or printing off the map to Yatri House as many cab drivers do not know where it is.

bon voyage !

The place is really quiet and the rooms are simple and very clean (which is scarce). We could even leave somme luggage for a wwek!! A good place to stay in Dehli.
Just a point though : yhe breakfast is good but sometimes (when it's busy) it gets a long time to have it served (1h00 against 15' announced).

A very nice and easy way to visit India, especially travelling with children, is to hire a car with a driver. A great deal of the everyday life circulates around the roads and the National Parks are easy to go to by car. Thank you again Sunjay and Pappu for your helpfulness.

I can highly recommend Yatri House as your accommodation when visiting Delhi. I think it's a great place for lonely female travellers and couples as well. Sanjay, his wife Prul and the staff ar all concerned about the guests, and Sanjay gave me a lot of advices about how to travel in India. I'm very happy that i choosed Yatri House. That choice gave me a very positive start and end for my travel in Rajasthan. Next time in India i'll want to bring my family as well and we will stay at Yatri House.

We would recommend Yatri House to anyone. In fact, we liked Sanjay's guesthouse so much that we made it our base during a four month stay in India and Nepal. We returned to Yatri each of the four times we were in Delhi.

The rooms are clean and the guesthouse is on a quiet street with a lovely garden in back and front. Meals are delicious and reasonably priced. Sanjay and his staff were not only hospitable but knowledgeable as well. This is a very good way to see India. Sanjay always made sure of that!

We have stayed at Yatri House on each of our 3 visits to Delhi and have always found the room to be clean, food good and hospitality excellent. Yatri House is ideally situated to see the sights of Delhi but its location is very quiet despite Connaught Place being just a few minutes away. Before our first visit to India we contacted Sanjay (from Lonely Planet guidebook) who provided lots of very good advice about traveling times between towns, places to see and hotels to stay. We have always booked airport pick up with English speaking driver with Sanjay and found them to be excellent and good value. We are looking forward to returning to Delhi next year (2004) and will be booking Yatri House.

We booked into the Yatri Guesthouse in February 2002 and stayed for a week during our 16 month round-the-world honeymoon. Initially we were a little apprehensive as the guidebook we had been using said that there was a mosquito problem, but this proved to be far from the truth. In fact, neither of us recall seeing more than the usual amount of mossiest! The rooms were very comfortable and we felt very secure there. The staff were great and even had a smile for us when we arrived at 4am!! Our station pick-up was there on time, our laundry was always done impeccably and the driver we hired for the day was incredibly courteous. We liked the place so much that we went back again a couple of months later! The location is very central and we would strongly recommend a stay here! One suggestion we have is that you carry around the little card Mr Puri gives you with the directions to the guesthouse as it seems very few rickshaw or taxi drivers have ever heard of Punchkuin Marg.
