REVIEW Yatri House is deliciously close to the action - it's amere stone's throw away from Connaught Place and the New Delhitrain station - but has the huge advantage of being hidden awayin a quiet back lane, making it the area's most relaxing mid-rangeoption.Fronted by a well-manicured green lawn area, this easy-going six-roomguesthouse has long been a popular hangout for travellersfrom around the world and is an especially hassle-free place tostay for solo women. The homey yet professionally run establishmenthas good-sized rooms (the more you pay, the bigger you get), allwith attached modern bathrooms. While Yatri House's rooms may notbe overly sumptuous, they're extremely clean and comfortable and have an uncluttered appeal. The property is blessed with restfuloutdoor sitting areas such as a small pot-plant filled open-aircourtyard with wrought-iron tables & chairs - a wonderfully chilled-out place to unwind after a fatiguing day out on thetown. Meals are available and car hire can be arranged to tourwithin Delhi and beyond (including Rajasthan). Yatri's owner,Sanjay, is a helpful chap.

A la fin de Punchkuin Rd , sur la droite juste avant le round-point. Attention a ne pas confrodre avec les autres yatri du quartier. Dans une impasses tres calmeet verdoyante, perpendiculaire a Punchkuin Rd, pension pleine de charme et fort bien tenue. Six chambers avec ou sans AC; sale de bains carrelee au sol de marbre. Jardinet ou cour interieur pour prendre le petit dej' (a la carte) ou le frais en soiree. Repas uniquement sur commande. L'ensemble a beaucoup de cachet (tapis, meubles a` l'ancienne) et est tres reposant. Resultat : c'est souvent complet, en depitdes tariffs un peu eleves, donc reserver 3 semaines a 1 mois a l'avance en saison. Service de location de voitures et organization de tours. Assure egaleament des visites au Rajasthan.
